How long does it take to get my new clothes?
We ask our customers to allow 4-6 weeks for  their orders to be completed, however we strive to have each order steam irorned and ready for pick up in less.  Depending on the order, rushed delivery times can sometimes be met for a small extra charge.

How many fabrics do you have to choose from?
Our material selections are constantly being updated.  We like to keep at least 300 suiting materials, 350 shirting materials, 65 sport jacket materials, and 150+ ties on hand in our shop at all times.  If, by chance, we do not have exactly what you are looking for, we will be happy to locate it for you and have a sample shipped to our store.

Will you come to me?
Absolutely.  We will travel anywhere in the world to meet the needs of our clients.  We often perform fittings inside conference rooms for groups of coworkers throughout the region.  We also offer generous referral bonuses for individuals who are able to set up groups of new customers for a simultaneous fitting.  We will even bring lunch to your place of business!

How do I schedule a fitting?
We are happy to perform fittings any day of the week.  All you have to do is contact us via email (info@capitalcustomclothiers.com) or phone (410.268.3090) or visit our shop in historic downtown Annapolis at 51 Maryland Avenue.  We strongly reccommend that you wear a suit that you currently own to help us understand what your preferences are and what specific measurements can be improved in order to provide you with the best custom experience possible.  We are also able to perform fittings without an appointment anytime during normal business hours.

Why Custom?
When an off the rack “high fashion” designer creates his clothes he starts from a very specific set of measurements. For men, a “nine heads” model is standard (the body's proportion is equivalent to nine heads). This translates to a generic male form that is 6’ tall and 155 pounds with a  38” chest and a 29” waist. The clothing is then proportioned to all of the other sizes. This clothing can be stunning and often times beautiful. The problem is that the proportions of the sizes do not mirror the general population and the styles can often be impractical for every day wear.
On the other hand most off the rack brands cut their clothes for the masses. They try to maximize their potential customer base, so their sizes are much more “safe” i.e. the size 42r is made to fit an overweight person with a 42” chest, an extremely athletic person with a 42” chest and, of course, an average build with a 42” chest. The end result is a piece of clothing that just doesn’t fit any body quite right. People come in all shapes and sizes, with different tastes and lifestyles.  Owning custom built businesswear allows you to wear clothing that is comfortable not only because it fits your body but because it fits your personality.
